Wesley Shiau
Principal

Wesley Shiau serves as a Principal at Highland Street Capital and is responsible for the firm's strategic direction and for all acquisition, capital formation, and asset management activities. He has nearly 10 years of experience in real estate private equity and development and has closed over $5.0 billion of commercial real estate transactions. His experience includes investments in residential, mixed-use, office, and industrial assets across the risk spectrum and capital stack on behalf of institutional and family office investors.

Prior to Highland Street, Wesley served on the investment teams at Innovo Property Group ($5.0 billion AUM), an opportunistic real estate investment and development company founded by The Carlyle Group's former Head of New York Real Estate and backed by a prominent Hong Kong-based family office, J.P. Morgan Asset Management – Real Estate Americas ($74.0 billion AUM), the U.S. real estate principal investment platform of J.P. Morgan Global Alternatives, and Madison International Realty ($30.0 billion AUM), a real estate private equity firm specializing in global opportunistic special situations related to partnership buyouts, platform growth equity, and PIPE investments. Wesley serves on the Next Generation Board, Benefits Committee and is an active investor in TEAK Fellowship. He is a member of the Cornell Real Estate Council in New York City and serves on the Young Professionals Steering Committee for the annual Cornell Real Estate Conference.

Wesley graduated from The Hotel School at Cornell University with a concentration in Finance, Accounting and Real Estate.
